YOGA CLASSES FOR
EXPECTANT WOMEN

Yoga can help you get the most out of those precious months while carrying your baby and give you the best possible chance to regain your previous figure after birth. The Yoga postures will lessen backaches, headaches, swollen legs, heartburn etc. and open the pelvic area to encourage an easier birth. The breathing exercises help reduce high blood pressure and calm the nerves. Learning breath control will enable you to have more control over labour pains and remain calmer during contractions. Relaxation techniques will teach you how to gain a better quality of sleep and also how to stay stress free during waking hours, a boon for when baby is born. Visualisation and meditation exercises will encourage a strong bond between you and your baby, bringing positivity and health to you both.
Women who practice yoga while pregnant report having easier births and babies that are more contented.
Our special class for pregnant ladies is:-
Wednesday evenings 7:30 -9:00 pm. £7.00 a session
However, if you cannot make the special class any of our drop-in classes are gentle enough to suit.

Classes are on Thursdays: There are two classes

the very gentle class from 5 - 6pm {60mins} £4 per lesson.
The 2nd class 6.15pm - 7.45pm {90mins} is £7 per lesson.

Before starting a Yoga session it is best to follow a few guidelines:-

Make sure you haven't eaten for:- 2 hours - light meal, 3 hours - heavy meal.

Take off any jewellery that may cause discomfort in certain postures.

Wear elasticized waistband, and socks not tights.

Don't wear shoes in the Sutton studio, please leave them in the kitchen.

Throughout the session, focus on your self and inner peace, leaving the ordinary world behind.

If you can't make your normal class time you can just drop in to another class if you wish.

There are hand printed Yoga T-shirts and sweatshirts available at the Studio, which are ideal to practice in.

Please arrive promptly for your class.
